Everybody,
2006 was a great year for Good Home Grown Music and Blue Circle
Records. Tom T. and I want to thank everyone who voted for us for both the SPBGMA
2006 "Songwriter of the Year" award and the IBMA 2006 "Recorded
Event of the Year Award" for "Back to the Well" (Daughters of Bluegrass)
... and more recently being awarded SPBGMA's 2007 "Songwriter of the Year".
We
have written a song by the title of "Virginia" that is being submitted
for consideratioin to be used as the "State Song" for the state of Virginia.
Virginia and the heritage of music that was given to us by the A.P. Carter Family
is very dear to both of us and we are in great hopes "Virginia" will
be one day deemed the official Virginia State Song. We
want to thank all of the artists that have recorded and sing our songs and to
the many friends who have been so kind by honoring us at IBMA and SPBGMA. We look
forward to seeing you all again in 2007. |
